Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and assisting with sales on the retail floor. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Duties

• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases.
• Maintain knowledge of products and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
• Supervise and train new staff members in cash handling procedures and customer service best practices.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
• Perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Uphold store policies regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
• Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
• Experience with cash registers and cash handling procedures is essential.
• Ability to supervise others and provide guidance when needed.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a busy environment.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
