Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Summary

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
• Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to keep the sales floor organized and inviting
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity
• Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in product replenishment
• Engage in retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and sales promotions to ensure accuracy

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math calculations confidently for transactions and inventory management
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially for leadership roles or team support responsibilities
• Ability to demonstrate products confidently through demos and upselling techniques
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
