Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, or digital payments with precision.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering product recommendations.
• Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.
• Manage merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented to attract shoppers.
• Maintain proper cash handling procedures, balance registers at shift end, and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Support grocery store operations by adhering to phone etiquette standards when taking orders or assisting customers remotely.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations, including supervising new staff when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases.
• Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory management tasks efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and patience when assisting shoppers.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations and phone etiquette standards for professional interactions.
