Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, providing product information and recommendations.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement and sales opportunities.
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring quick and friendly service at all times.
• Upsell related products by identifying customer needs and promoting relevant items to increase sales.
• Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and organize stock to keep the store visually appealing and well-stocked.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication.
• Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and supporting merchandising efforts.
• Support the team with supervising responsibilities when needed, helping to train new staff or oversee daily operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures ensures smooth transaction processes.
• Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Experience in grocery stores or retail environments enhances understanding of retail math, merchandising, and stock management.
• Supervising experience is beneficial for supporting team leadership activities.
• Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers confidently and professionally.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
