Cashier/Sales Associate

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs in a lively, engaging manner
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory
• Handle cash transactions with precision and maintain accurate cash handling records
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves and conducting regular stock checks
• Use strong communication skills to inform customers about promotions, store policies, and new products
• Demonstrate phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not mandatory; a positive attitude is essential!
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, stocking shelves, and conducting product demos
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in similar retail settings is beneficial but not required
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail calculations
