Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding product selections
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales
• Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and processing various payment methods
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors and assist with inquiries as needed
• Support supervisory staff by supervising team members during shifts, ensuring smooth store operations
• Engage customers in retail math calculations for discounts or promotions to enhance their shopping experience

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments with high customer volume
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette to foster positive interactions
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash drawers confidently

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
