Cashier/Sales Associate - Must be a people person

Immediate openings for cashiers in a high end garden center.

Cashier Job Responsibilities:

• Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
• Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing and totaling customers’ purchases.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions.
• Bags purchases if needed.
• Processes return transactions.
• Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers.
• Provides pricing information by answering questions.
• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Some pricing and receiving of inventory.
• Keeping store and workstation clean.
• Answering the phone and fielding questions to the appropriate person.
• Some restocking and merchandising may be required.
• You will be interacting with customers and staff on a regular basis throughout the day. You should be a people person who likes to chat.
• Prior knowledge of plants and gardening is a plus but not required.

Full Time Seasonal position, March - Christmas

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
