Cashier/Sales Associate/Donation Processor

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier/Sales associate to join our dynamic retail team. As a Cashier/Sales associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and handling sales and inventory. The ideal candidate will possess strong retail math skills and the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a cash register. The role requires a passion for sales and a commitment to delivering a high-quality shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise during the shopping experience.
• Operate a cash register efficiently and accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
• Process sales, handle returns, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services offered by the store to assist customers with their purchases.
• Restock shelves and ensure that merchandise is properly displayed and organized.
• Assist with inventory management, including counting and processing donations.
• Collaborate with other sales and support staff to meet sales goals and provide a seamless shopping experience.

Requirements

• Proficiency in basic math and retail math skills.
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to operate a cash register and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Familiarity with stock management and inventory control procedures.
• Knowledge of resale sales, with a passion for sales and a drive to meet sales goals.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, and weekends.
• Promote a positive image of SAFE through positive public relations and communicating about SAFE's mission and programs.
• Accept, sort and price donations for resale according to store policy.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
