Cashier/Shift Lead

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service to enhance their dining or shopping experience
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Assist in food preparation, food handling, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure food safety compliance
• Upsell menu items or products to increase sales and meet revenue goals through effective suggestive selling techniques
• Manage cashier duties including cash register operation, balancing drawers, and processing refunds or exchanges
• Support food service operations by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring quick turnaround times during peak hours
• Lead shift activities by supervising team members, coordinating tasks, and maintaining a positive work environment

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafes, or grocery stores
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally and efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in cashiering roles with a focus on accuracy and speed in transaction processing
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
