Job Summary

Duties

• Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products and ensuring accurate placement according to merchandising standards
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions quickly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with confidence
• Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
• Conduct product demos when applicable to promote featured items and increase sales through upselling techniques
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring a positive shopping environment
• Assist with inventory management by receiving deliveries, stocking new merchandise, and conducting stock counts
• Use strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and ensure smooth store operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery stores is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all new team members
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, are essential for engaging with customers and team members
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks
• Enthusiastic about merchandising, stocking, and creating an inviting store atmosphere
• Customer service orientation with a positive attitude and proactive approach to assisting shoppers
