Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient processing and billing
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen duties to support smooth restaurant operations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Support bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and assisting host/hostess duties as needed
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest bookings effectively
- Foster guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring a positive dining experience
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing
- Experience in fine dining settings or nightclubs is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in diverse hospitality environments
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or kitchen tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Customer service background with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and handling cash accurately
