About Us

Plena Healthcare, now proudly part of Australian Unity, is a national allied health provider delivering services across Residential and Community Aged Care. With over 20 years' experience, we're known for high-quality, person-centred care that supports people to live well, safely and independently.

Being part of Australian Unity allows us to offer stability, strong clinical governance and flexibility, while maintaining Plena's supportive, clinician-led culture.

The Opportunity

This casual physiotherapy role is ideal if you're looking for flexible work that fits around your life.

Whether you're:

  • An early-career Physiotherapist wanting to build experience and confidence, or
  • An experienced clinician seeking flexible, no-pressure work

You will be supported to practise well, without unrealistic caseloads or volume-driven expectations.

You'll work across Residential Aged Care and the Community, supporting clients through the new Support at Home program, as well as Short-Term Restorative Care and private funding. Shifts and hours can be tailored to suit your availability.

The Role

You'll provide evidence-based physiotherapy focused on mobility, strength, balance and safety. This includes completing assessments, developing functional and goal-based treatment plans, supporting falls prevention, prescribing and reviewing equipment, managing chronic and arthritic conditions, pain management, and pressure injury prevention.

You'll work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team, with access to leadership support and established clinical frameworks, even in a casual capacity.

Why Choose a Casual Role with Plena

Casual work at Plena offers the flexibility to choose your hours, locations and workload, while still being part of a supportive, well-structured organisation.

Early-career physios benefit from guidance, clinical support and exposure to a broad range of clients. Experienced physios enjoy autonomy, respected clinical judgement and flexibility, without ongoing administrative burden.

About You

You'll be a qualified Physiotherapist with current AHPRA registration, Australian working rights, and a willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check.

Experience in aged care or community settings is welcome but not essential.
