Cat Sitters and Dog Walkers Needed - Evening and Weekends

Happy Pets NYC seeks passionate pet care providers to join our team. You'll be working independently, with minimal supervision, so you must be great at decision-making and crisis management. This position is part-time. Visits for cats are between 20 and 30 minutes. Visits for dogs range from 30 minutes to an hour, with the potential for overnight stays.

Our ideal candidates are locals who live in the Forest Hills, Rego Park, and Kew Gardens areas and have the following qualities:

• Manage clients' needs and preferences with a commitment to providing a superior level of care. Attention to detail is a must!
• Available to work evenings (4 pm - 9 pm) and weekends.
• Have excellent work and personal references.
• Flexible Schedule.
• Must be comfortable handling pets of all sizes.
• Resistant to inclement weather, including cold, snow, humidity, and rain.
• Exceptional written and verbal skills to interact with our clients and us.
• Tons of pet experience, pet ownership is preferred.
• US citizen or those legally allowed to work in the United States.
• 18+ only, please.
• Available to start work immediately and make a long-term commitment of at least six months.
• Equipped with a smartphone and internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care to pets, ensuring their safety and well-being while their owners are away.
• Administer food, water, and medications as needed, following specific instructions from pet owners.
• Engage in playtime and social interaction to keep pets mentally stimulated and happy.
• Maintain cleanliness of litter boxes and living areas.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding their pet's behavior and health, providing updates as necessary. Include multiple pictures of their pets, notes on how visits went, and respond to client inquiries promptly.

Pay: $75.00 - $200.00 per week
