Cat Sitters & Dog Walkers

Love At First Sit® is looking for dependable Pet Care Providers and Dog Walkers for contract opportunities in Santa Monica. Assignments include cat and small pet sitting visits, midday dog walking, and holiday pet care. These opportunities are ideal for pet-savvy individuals who want meaningful work with flexible scheduling.

Compensation

• 30-minute visits/walks: $18–$20 per visit
• 1-hour visits/walks: $24–$26 per 1-hour visit
• 100% of client tips
• 100% client-designated holiday pay
• Many clients have multiple pets, increasing earning potential per visit

Assignment Expectations

• Provide attentive, compassionate care for pets in their homes
• Follow individualized care instructions and ensure their safety and well-being.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners, including written updates after visits
• Travel reliably to client homes within Santa Monica
• Complete assignments independently and with professionalism
• Quick and reliable in communication, responding promptly to emails, calls, and messages

Qualifications

• Professional Experience caring for cats, small pets, and/or walking dogs
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Quick and reliable in communication, responding promptly to emails, calls, and messages
• Transportation within the Santa Monica service area
• Smartphone required for communication and scheduling
• Comfort handling pets with a range of temperaments and needs
• Understanding of basic pet behavior, health, and safety
• Preferred: Prior professional or volunteer animal care experience (excluding friends and family references)

• High school or equivalent (Required)
