Job Description/Essential Duties:

The Catalog & Visual Materials Designer is responsible for the creation of all visual assets (print and digital), overseeing catalog production from beginning to end, and managing our library of images and videos. This role will be an integral member of a collaborative team focused on planning, implementing, monitoring, and overseeing a variety of marketing programs, working closely with the Director of Marketing. Your creative thinking skills and strategies will be an essential part in elevating our brand image through both digital and print media, curating a library of impactful media assets, streamlining the catalog production process, and overall improving the materials we make available to our customers and showrooms to promote the growth of the business.

The Catalog & Visual Materials Designer’s responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and production of several catalogs, brochures and flyers from concept to print. This will include updating our large 500+ page catalog 2X a year during our new product launches. This will require working in collaboration with the Director of Marketing as well as other internal teams.
  • Oversee the process of ensuring the product data from our PIM accurately populates our digital catalog files.
  • Utilize Photoshop to ensure all corrections and/or enhancements on images for use on website and in print are maintained to ensure high levels of quality for images and in styling for our high-end brand.
  • Lead the layout and print process and track completeness/correctness.
  • Work directly with printers to ensure level of excellence in all print materials; ensure correct print specifications and colors, etc. are used. Attend press checks when necessary.
  • Assist with specialty printing projects such as travel display box, and design/printing for swag used for promo’s, at factory tour events and tradeshows.
  • Assist with creation of tradeshow graphics and collateral.
  • Assist with rendering projects through our rendering vendors; be able to obtain quotes and independently communicate and follow up; ensure quality of renders, manage images through engineering review process, and be able to provide feedback and finalize.
  • Product knowledge- ensure proper image representation by learning product details and technical know-how to ensure technical correctness.
  • Help keep our digital ecosphere clean and organized: Ability to learn archiving schema of assets and carefully name and archive all assets properly, with careful attention to version control, correct placement, and updates in all platforms. Think 360° and be aware of needs for updating and keeping items housed properly for easy retrieval, for catalog, website, e commerce partners, etc.
  • Make recommendations for images, promotions, emails, etc.
  • Ability to assist with social media artwork or image editing.
  • Perform additional assignments per manager's direction.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be creative, innovative, and multimedia savvy.
  • Must be an excellent writer and communicator with the ability to adapt such to our company’s brand “voice.”
  • Fluency with Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite, ability to edit photography - - required.
  • A sense of urgency and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Ownership of all assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to utilize video creation/editing programs to create very short video vignettes/snippets for website homepage and product pages, and social media.
  • Flexible to take direction and shifting priorities as they arise.
  • Respond to outside requests for images and logos.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, such as Generative Photoshop and understanding of how to generate photo realistic images - - highly desired.
  • Excellent time management skills; must be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; must be able to recognize and resolve discrepancies.
  • Team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude that can work collaboratively, accept constructive feedback, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Environmental and Safety Considerations:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

People Interface:

  • This position will require interacting with Executives, Management, and other administration and marketing team members daily.

Decision Making:

  • The position requires the use of judgment and discretion to plan and perform general tasks and to make decisions in order to solve problems or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.

Education and Experience:

  • The desired minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field.
  • At least two (3) years of experience in designing both visual and printed materials.
  • Luxury product branding experience a plus
  • Previous experience with faucet, hardware, or home improvement products a plus
  • Advanced knowledge/skills with Adobe Photoshop is required.
  • Advance knowledge/skills in Excel is required.
  • Experience in catalog design and/or production highly desired.
  • Experience with In-design highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of CMS and web analytics, highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • This is a largely sedentary role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
