Responsibilities:
- Perform original and copy cataloging of library materials in various formats. Apply RDA, AACR2, MARC21 standards and follow internal cataloging policies. Classify and organize materials according to recognized library systems. Maintain accurate bibliographic and metadata records. Conduct quality control for cataloging work to ensure accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with team members to support library operational needs. Assist with catalog database updates and improvements when required. Support collection development by identifying cataloging needs and gaps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional cataloging experience.
- Strong knowledge of RDA, AACR2, MARC21 standards.
- Familiarity with cataloging systems and metadata standards.
- Excellent organizational and research skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
