Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Category Analyst to support the Floral business within a fast-paced grocery retail environment. This role plays a critical part in driving sales, managing inventory, supporting merchandising execution, and delivering accurate, timely reporting to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
Data & Reporting Ownership
- Own and execute weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting including:
- Sales performance
- Inventory levels & Days on Hand
- Shrink and distress analysis
- Ad item performance and sell-through
- Ensure all reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable for leadership teams
- Analyze trends and provide insights to support business decisions
Ad & Item Management
- Support weekly ad process including item setup, pricing validation, and execution tracking
- Ensure all items are correctly set up, active, and aligned with promotional timelines
- Partner with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure accuracy across all platforms
Inventory
- Monitor inventory levels
- Assist in managing product flow, item setup, and vendor coordination
Data Accuracy & Systems Management
- Maintain integrity of all systems including item setup, pricing, and inventory platforms
- Troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve data issues proactively
- Work cross-functionally with IT, vendors, and operations when needed
Project Management
- Support key seasonal programs (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.)
- Execute special projects, reporting requests, and business initiatives
- Manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities with minimal oversight
Communication & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as a liaison between merchandising, operations, and vendor partners
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership
Scope & Impact:
- Direct impact on sales performance, inventory management, and gross profit
- Supports a division with 100+ retail locations
- Plays a key role in execution of major seasonal events and promotions
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, retail, or category support role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Grocery or retail experience
- Experience with inventory or merchandising systems (SSIMS, 1WorldSync, or similar)
- Experience supporting promotional or ad execution
- Microsoft Access or other database experience

Work Environment:
- Office-based role in Arlington, TX
- Standard Monday–Friday schedule
- Extended hours may be required during peak times

- Full-time, exempt position

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
