Job Title: Category Buyer

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute buying strategies for assigned categories to achieve sales, margin, and inventory targets.
- Identify and source new suppliers, negotiate pricing, and establish long-term vendor relationships.
- Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify trends, new fabrics, and consumer preferences.
- Plan and manage seasonal assortments—from product selection to pricing and stock allocation.
- Coordinate with design, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive product stories and launches.
- Conduct buying visits and supplier meetings to review collections and assess product quality.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and adjust buying plans accordingly.
- Ensure timely product shoot samples and support the e-commerce and retail teams with product-related information.
- Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to track product deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate buying records, purchase orders, and budgets.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of fashion retail, trends, and consumer behavior (preferably ethnic wear).
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and inventory analysis.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across departments.
- Ability to handle multiple categories or sub-brands simultaneously.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
