Our client is a globally recognized leader in the electronics and manufacturing sector. They are continuing to strengthen their international procurement function and are seeking an experienced Category Manager based anywhere in the US.


This is a key strategic role with responsibility for category activities both domestically and globally.

You will lead the development of strategic supplier partnerships, conduct performance reviews, and proactively manage supply chain risks concerning capacity and operational stability.

The Role

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing global/regional category strategies for electrical components.


  • Lead high-value procurement initiatives and vendor evaluations focused on maximizing fiscal efficiency
  • Manage end-to-end supplier relations, ensuring full compliance with technical specifications through robust contract oversight
  • Strategize against supply chain volatility, addressing regulatory hurdles and trade-related disruptions head-on
  • Harmonize global supply and demand by fostering collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders


The Candidate

We are seeking a commercially astute procurement professional with strong market awareness and a global mindset.


  • Sector Expertise: Demonstrated track record in electronics manufacturing category management within North America; international experience is highly valued
  • Interpersonal Impact: Skilled in high-level negotiations and stakeholder engagement, with a proven ability to collaborate across diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in multiple languages is an asset but not a prerequisite
  • Strategic Analysis: Utilizes a data-centric methodology to optimize procurement strategies and evaluate supplier performance
  • Global Agility: Adept at navigating the complexities of a global corporate structure, including managing projects across various international time zones
