About The Role:
Overview
In partnership with the businesses and Global Supply Chain, we optimize our total cost of ownership by strategically sourcing international transportation and effectively utilizing procurement best practices. The wide scope of this position involves systems administration, transportation mode operational support, business requirements knowledge, market and contract analysis based on reliability, service and cost competitiveness.
The primary function is to raise visibility with strategic data analysis to support decision making in an effort to reduce cost to serve while improving the customer experience across the transportation procurement organization.
Key Accountabilities:- Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain internal Power BI reporting and enhance reporting capabilities through workshops and training across all modes of transportation
- Extract and analyze internal historical volume data using tools like SAP, BW, CFI, Xtract Universal, Alteryx, and TAP, ensuring accuracy and correlation with market drivers.
- Prepare and present detailed reports tracking project progress, operational metrics, and export performance.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets, summaries, dashboards, and advanced analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Manage access to multiple systems including P44, SharePoint, PBI Cloud Deliver Workspace, PBI Report Server International Distribution folder, and InforNexus.
- Maintain prices and price related data accuracy in various rate repositories, Ocean Rate Lookup Tools, and SAP to enable efficient internal and external stakeholder (Freight Forwarders and Carriers) operations.
- Owner and admin of Transportation SharePoint, PBI Cloud Deliver Workspace and PBI Report Server folder of dashboards.
- Operational Oversight and Support
- Execute and maintain critical system updates, including post-bid rate changes and ad hoc rates to SAP, allocation submissions, Ocean Rate Lookup tools, and rate expiration, rate, and lane data.
- Monitor and manage deadlines for deliverables like bid package, rate expiration, rates and lane data, and carrier allocation files to maintain seamless operational workflows.
- Process Improvement and Innovation
- Identify workflow and reporting inefficiencies and propose technology-driven solutions to enhance export operations.
- Lead discussions on innovative analytics practices to optimize reporting and processes.
- Knowledge Sharing and Training
- Share expertise in tools like Power BI, Alteryx, P44, InforNexus with peers through team meetings or community practices.
- Train current and new team members to help them navigate systems tools, and departmental workflows.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners (e.g., logistics providers, software vendors, and consultants) to align deliverables and ensure assigned export workstreams success.
- Research and Market Analysis
- Research publicly available information, including market indices, supplier data, and current events, to inform decision-making.
- Analyze internal spend data and market trends to support the sourcing team in strategy development.
About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or Business Administration
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Advanced analytical skills and competency in the use of analytical tools
- Basic understanding of the SAP, S2K BW
- Intermediate understanding of Power BI
- Tenacity / Drive for results when mining data
