Duties
- Oversee catering services from planning to execution, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and timely delivery for diverse events.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance using systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Supervise kitchen staff and catering team members, providing training on food handling, safety protocols, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with community partners to develop engagement programs that promote inclusivity and support local initiatives.
- Handle cash transactions accurately during events or catering pickups, maintaining detailed records of sales and expenses.
- Lead shift management by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring efficient workflow in fast-paced environments such as quick service restaurants or banquet settings.
- Develop budgets for catering projects and community programs while managing resources effectively to maximize impact.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and managing catering operations within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams in settings like quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments.
- Strong background in food service management with expertise in inventory control, food safety standards, and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prior experience in community engagement or event planning that fosters collaboration with local organizations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to train staff effectively and handle diverse client needs confidently.
- Knowledge of kitchen management practices including shift management, food production processes, and culinary techniques.
- Ability to manage budgets, supervise staff interviewing processes, and develop training & development programs for team growth.
