Job Summary
This position is responsible for effectively assisting food and beverage services and aiding in the overall logistics of the events by way of set-up, clear communication and teamwork, while maintaining the standards for excellence. The successful candidate will be innovative, practice accountability, be customer focused, detail and solution oriented while striving to provide exceptional customer service. Please note this is contract opportunity and workers are on an event by event basis, depending on availability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional appearance and mannerism.
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of tables, linens, chairs, etc.
- Provide excellent food and beverage service for the set-up, during and breakdown of events.
- Prep food, organize set-ups and oversee volunteer staff for each event. Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Maintain sense of urgency when on the service floor.
- Maintain positive and professional attitude.
- Maintain clear and open communication between all staff members for overall event success.
- Follow Health and Safety practices at all times.
- Complete other assigned duties when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1 to 5 years of experience in a customer service or food services environment.
- Well-groomed appearance and good hygiene.
- Great Communication Skills.
- A Passion for Serving People.
- Pleasant, professional, outgoing personality.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Lift and carry serving trays or other items, that may weigh up to 25 lbs.
- Serve guests in a variety of settings including crowded areas which require agility.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Food service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
