Starting wage: $20-$23/hour, depending on experience

What’s the opportunity?

Our Catering Team brings Go Get Em Tiger’s coffee, hospitality, and service standards beyond our cafes and into events and venues across Los Angeles. In this role, you will lead coffee service at off-site, serve up delicious drinks, create warm guest experiences, and help make sure each event runs smoothly from setup to breakdown.

You will brew delicious coffee roasted by us here in LA County, prepare espresso drinks, serve guests, support food and beverage service when needed, and represent Go Get Em Tiger with confidence and care. The duties are diverse, but the job boils down to being organized, engaging, knowledgeable, and kind. Performing excellent catering service feels like hosting a great party away from home. It’s fast-paced, hands-on work, but it’s fulfilling. And if that sounds like fun to you, you’ll probably like working here.

We’re looking for someone with strong barista skills, great hospitality instincts, and the ability to lead in a mobile event environment. Catering can be unpredictable, so flexibility, clear communication, attention to detail, and a calm attitude are important. You should be comfortable taking initiative, supporting teammates, and making sure every guest receives the same thoughtful experience they would get in one of our coffeehouses.

What will I do?

You will…

  • Lead coffee service at off-site catering events
  • Be kind, engaging, and knowledgeable about our offerings and about coffee generall
  • Be positive, honest, and professional with guests, clients, and coworkers
  • Display excellent hospitality to all customers, event contacts, and team members
  • Hustle, serve guests with magical speed, and keep service moving smoothly
  • Set up and break down mobile coffee bars and catering stations
  • Prepare and serve espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and other menu items
  • Display confidence and seek to constantly improve your skills in all aspects of catering coffee operations, including but not limited to:
    • Customer service
    • Coffee brewing and espresso extraction
    • Drink finishing
    • Event setup and breakdown
    • Mobile coffee bar organization
    • Dishwashing and general cleaning
    • Communication with event contacts and team members
  • Help load, unload, transport, and organize catering equipment and product
  • Follow GGET recipes, quality standards, and service expectation\
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, organized, and guest-ready workspace
  • Support inventory, packing lists, and event prep as needed
  • Troubleshoot basic service or equipment issues during events
  • Stay up-to-date with all menu offerings
  • Take pride in the condition of your workspace and event setup

  • You have a CA Food Handler’s Certification or the willingness to attain one within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements

In order to work this job, you must be able to do the following, with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Move about cafes, event spaces, and service areas frequently during your shift
  • Operate job-related tools, such as coffee brewers, espresso machines, grinders, and mobile coffee equipment
  • Communicate and converse with customers, event contacts, and coworkers throughout your shift
  • Frequently move coffee/food/merch/equipment in bins weighing up to 40lbs
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Load, unload, set up, and break down catering equipment and supplies
  • Be able to taste coffee throughout your shift for quality control purposes
