CATERING SALES & MARKETING COORDINATOR

We are looking for someone rare.

Chihuahua’s is hiring a highly organized, self-motivated, sales-minded operator to help build our catering business into a serious revenue stream while also helping drive marketing execution, promotions, special projects, and brand growth.

This is not an entry-level role, and it is not a role for someone who needs to be micromanaged. We need someone who thinks like an owner, manages time extremely well, stays on top of calendars and deadlines, communicates at a high level, and moves with real urgency.

The right person will help build our catering presence from the ground up. That includes creating and refining the catering menu, organizing packages and sales materials, managing inbound inquiries, generating outbound catering business, coordinating with the marketing team, helping develop monthly specials and content ideas, staying aligned with kitchen and management on promotions, calendars, and events, and making sure important projects actually get finished.

This role also includes helping manage special projects for the restaurant. Some projects will be marketing-related, some will be operational, some will be guest-experience focused, and some may simply be whatever the business needs next. We want someone who can step in, get organized fast, and help move things forward.

We want someone who brings ideas, solves problems, follows through, and understands how to turn effort into revenue.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Help build and grow our catering business from the ground up
  • Create and refine the catering menu, packages, and sales materials
  • Manage inbound catering inquiries from email and website
  • Proactively generate outbound catering business and new account relationships
  • Help develop monthly specials and revenue-driving promotional ideas
  • Stay in close communication with kitchen and management on specials, calendars, events, and execution
  • Work with the marketing team to help manage the social media calendar and email blasts
  • Help coordinate photo shoots, content planning, and marketing materials
  • Keep projects, deadlines, calendars, and follow-up organized
  • Help keep moving parts aligned between ownership, management, kitchen, and marketing
  • Take ownership of special projects for the restaurant as needed
  • Help build systems and structure around catering, promotions, and execution
  • Help keep the brand sharp, current, and aligned across marketing efforts

What We Are Looking For

  • Excellent self-management and time-management skills
  • Strong calendar management and organizational ability
  • A self-starter who does not need constant direction
  • Strong sales ability and confidence with client communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Efficiency with ChatGPT, AI tools, Canva, Photoshop, and modern workflow tools
  • Good taste, strong instincts, and the ability to create ideas that fit the brand
  • Someone who thinks about revenue, margins, efficiency, and results
  • A problem solver who comes with ideas and next steps
  • Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Someone who works like an owner and takes pride in execution
  • Someone flexible enough to handle a wide variety of projects as business needs change
  • Experience in catering sales, hospitality sales, event sales, marketing coordination, project coordination, or business development is strongly preferred
  • Experience helping build a department, program, or business line from an early stage is a major plus

You understand that details, timing, follow-up, and presentation all matter. You are not waiting around to be told every next move. You are thinking ahead, spotting opportunities, and helping turn ideas into sales while also keeping important projects moving.

Compensation

  • $21.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience, ability, and fit
  • Approximately 30 hours per week to start
  • 10-20% Commissions on booked catering sales
  • Project Bonuses
  • Strong upside potential for someone who helps build and grow the catering program
