Job Summary

Friendsview Retirement Community is seeking a Catering & Dining Services Assistant to support food preparation, event setup, and guest service for catered events. This role plays an important part in delivering a high-quality dining experience for residents and guests while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

Event Preparation & Service

• Assist with preparing food items for catered events
• Set up and organize serving areas
• Transport food and supplies to event locations
• Maintain stocked, clean, and organized service areas

Customer Service

• Provide friendly and professional service to residents and guests
• Answer questions about menu items and ingredients
• Support wait staff during meal service
• Follow fine dining service standards

Sanitation & Safety

• Clean and sanitize all prep and serving areas
• Follow proper food handling procedures
• Report safety concerns to supervisor

Compliance & Professionalism

• Follow all Friendsview policies and procedures
• Maintain resident privacy in compliance with HIPAA
• Represent the organization in a respectful and professional manner

Qualifications

• Open availability for events, including evenings, Holidays and some weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Positive attitude and reliability
• Respectful and compassionate approach when working with older adults

Preferred

• Open availability. Evenings and some weekends required.
• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service

Requirements

• Pass DHS background check (and fingerprinting if applicable)
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and reference checks
• Provide required employment documentation (I-9, SSN, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license and insurance (if driving is required)
