Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 depending on education/experience

Position Overview

The Catering Services Manager oversees all aspects of CentroNía's Catering and Food Services. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the position is responsible for designing and implementing healthy menus, providing nutrition education, and managing the kitchen team in compliance with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Management: Supervise, hire, and train kitchen staff. Manage food production budgets, kitchen payroll, and inventory. Maintain direct contact with catering clients.
  • Menu Planning & Nutrition: Develop costeffective menus that meet nutrition, organizational, and regulatory guidelines. Plan menus based on nutritional preferences, industry trends, and the special needs of children. Act as a resource for the development and presentation of nutritional education materials.
  • Compliance & Safety: Research and implement all relevant food and safety regulations. Oversee procedures to ensure food is prepared and served in a sanitary and safe environment. Maintain and update risk management policies.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Nutrition, Food Services, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MS) is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 35 years of professional experience in food service or catering, preferably in an education setting. A minimum of 35 years of direct staff supervision experience.
  • Certification: Valid ServSafe Manager Certification.
  • Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities.
