As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Catering Setup Supervisor is to ensure the smooth operations of the Catering Department by acting as a liaison between the Catering Service Manager and the Catering staff. This role will ensure that all catering areas are kept clean and organized and that the setup of meeting rooms aligns with the requirements specified in the Banquet Event Orders and supervising and assigning duties to the Catering Housepersons. Regularly reviewing BEOs and coordinating with the Catering Service Manager will help ensure the successful completion of all work each day and will contribute to the overall success of the catering operations.
- Act as the assistant to the Catering Service Manager and have a complex knowledge of the Catering Service Manager's duties and assigned areas of responsibility.

Ensure the proper setup and breakdown of all Catering Department functions including meetings, meal functions, receptions, dances, exhibits, etc.

Keep all Catering areas neat and clean.

Supervise and assign duties to Catering Aides under your supervision and follow up by personal example.

Completely review all BEOs each morning with the Catering Service Manager to ensure the completion of all work each day.
- Inspect all meeting rooms to insure the proper setup is as called for on the BEO.

Be responsible for the conduct and appearance of all Catering Aides.

Identify, train, and have approved a qualified backup Catering Aide.

Be responsible for on-the-job training of the Catering Aides.

Assist in inventories of equipment as necessary.
- Assist in making a weekly schedule for the Catering Aides in accordance with projected Catering sales.

To recommend new products or methods of operation to the Catering Service Manager.

Attend all department meetings.
