Cath Lab Registered Nurse | Elyria, Ohio

Provide critical care to patients in an advanced Cardiac Cath Lab setting, delivering specialized nursing support during Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular procedures. This position involves STEMI call responsibilities with a rapid response expectation, ensuring timely and skilled intervention for acute cardiac events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to critically ill patients undergoing cardiac interventions
• Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care ensuring smooth transitions
• Monitor and sedate patients utilizing advanced hemodynamic devices such as IABP and IMPELLA
• Provide ventilator management and other critical care nursing duties
• Respond to STEMI call within a 30-minute timeframe
• Rotate through holiday and on-call shifts according to unit schedule
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure in the state of Ohio
• Proven Cath Lab nursing experience with strong pre/postoperative skills
• Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring and sedation
• Experience with ventilator management required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  
  

Physical Demands & Environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods, with intermittent sitting, walking, stooping, and bending
• Capacity to assist with lifting 250-300 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 500 lbs.
• Comfortable working around communicable diseases, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals
• Normal vision and hearing with or without correction required
  
  

This contract role features varied shifts (0630-1700, 0700-1800, 0800-1800) and includes holiday and on-call rotations. Candidates with EPIC, XPER, and Change Healthcare system experience are preferred.
