Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Cath Lab Scrub Technician, where you'll play a vital role in supporting cardiovascular procedures within the catheterization laboratory. Your expertise will contribute to successful interventions in complex cardiac cases, including those at Level I Trauma Centers and specialized units like PICU and ICU. Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile field equipment for cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and other interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during procedures by passing instruments, suturing, and managing supplies with precision and efficiency.
- Monitor patient vital signs, physiological responses, and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
- Collect and document data related to procedure details, patient responses, and equipment usage accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and ensure all supplies meet hospital standards for safety and sterility.
- Support patient care activities pre- and post-procedure, including vital signs assessment and basic life support when necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in high-acuity settings such as emergency medicine, critical care units, or ambulatory surgery centers to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a scrub technician or similar role within hospital medicine, surgical units, or ambulatory surgery centers.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control practices essential for cardiac procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to perform suturing, manage sterile techniques, and assist with complex interventions in high-pressure environments like Level II trauma centers or PICU settings.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for data collection and medical records management.
- Critical care experience including ICU or acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) are a plus.
- Excellent analysis skills to monitor vital signs and respond swiftly to physiological changes during procedures.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
