Cath Lab Tech

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center. This position requires a strong understanding of physiology and the ability to perform various technical tasks while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for procedures.
• Collect and document data, including vital signs and patient history, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to facilitate smooth operations within the cath lab.
• Monitor patients’ conditions throughout procedures, ensuring acute care standards are met.
• Provide support in suturing and post-procedure care as needed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly for optimal performance.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices in cath lab technology.

Experience

• Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a cath lab or similar environment.
• Familiarity with medical-surgical practices and acute care protocols.
• Strong knowledge of physiology related to cardiac health and interventions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with data collection methods and patient monitoring systems is highly desirable.
• Preferred RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
