Cathodic Protection Technician

The Cathodic Protection Technician performs pipe-to-soil potential testing on natural gas pipeline systems to confirm adequate cathodic protection.

• Perform pipe-to-soil potential readings on natural gas pipelines at test stations, services, regulators, and other assigned locations.
• Travel daily to assigned test points by driving and walking routes over varied terrain and in various weather conditions
• Accurately document test results and complete required forms and reports within required timelines.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with client personnel, customers, and the public, including entering private property as required.
• Safety-first mindset; consistently follows procedures and policies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing, documentation, and reporting.
• Comfortable using handheld/mobile technology for data entry and field reporting.
• Ability to work independently, manage a route, and meet deadlines.

Competitive Compensation:

$20.00 per hour with GUARANTEED automatic $.50 increases at both 60 days and 180 days.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday; occasional Saturday work may be required based on operational needs and contract requirements. Travel Frequent local travel to job sites is required; field work is performed throughout the assigned territory.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid, unexpired driver’s license required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
