Underground Utility Worker
Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Perform underground and aerial utility tasks, including digging, laying, and maintaining coax and fiber plant
- Operate and maintain equipment such as shovels, trenchers, directional drills and bucket trucks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols and project instructions from supervisors
- Travel to job sites, including overnight stays, as required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of underground utility work preferred
- Work well with others
- Take direction and follow instructions
- Stand for 6 continuous hours
- Use a shovel effectively
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Must have a clean background and pass a background check
- Must pass a drug test and provide a valid, current driver’s license. CDL preferred
- Willingness to travel 2-3 days per week with some overnight stays in areas on the Western Slope
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay Range: $19 - $24 per hour, based on experience
- Work Locations: Grand Junction, Delta, Montrose, and other Colorado areas
- Travel: Required at times, including overnight stays up to 2-3 days per week
