Underground Utility Worker

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Perform underground and aerial utility tasks, including digging, laying, and maintaining coax and fiber plant
• Operate and maintain equipment such as shovels, trenchers, directional drills and bucket trucks
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
• Follow safety protocols and project instructions from supervisors
• Travel to job sites, including overnight stays, as required

Qualifications

• Knowledge of underground utility work preferred
• Work well with others
• Take direction and follow instructions
• Stand for 6 continuous hours
• Use a shovel effectively
• Lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must have a clean background and pass a background check
• Must pass a drug test and provide a valid, current driver’s license. CDL preferred
• Willingness to travel 2-3 days per week with some overnight stays in areas on the Western Slope

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay Range: $19 - $24 per hour, based on experience
• Work Locations: Grand Junction, Delta, Montrose, and other Colorado areas
• Travel: Required at times, including overnight stays up to 2-3 days per week
