Overview
Long term CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) position available in an all male facility in Gallipolis, Ohio. Will fully train right candidate. MUST be drug free including not using MAT (Suboxone) and all marijuana products. Prefer candidates with a passion for helping individuals in recovery. We manage our clients with a strong team approach coordinating Mental Health and Medical services onsite, as well as our own church and gym also to cover managements of "Mind, Boy and Spirit."

We manage all ASAM levels of care except acute detoxification beginning with a 90 day Residential Program followed through with onsite Sober Living Recovery Housing which is ORH certified, all on one 3 acre campus. We have a very strong clinical client-centered program with much higher than average sobriety outcomes.

Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments, Individualized Treatment Plans, manage client groups, case management and individual counseling sessions
Provide direct support and assistance to patients in their recovery journey with our Case manager assistants
Collaborate with the clinical management team to adapt and implement individualized treatment plans

Utilize various counseling techniques which we shall train to tailor to each client case
Maintain accurate documentation of client progress
Utilize de-escalation and behavior management strategies to support clients in crisis situations

Qualifications
Must have certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), we can fully train a candidate

Must not on any controlled drugs or medications, marijuana products or MAT such as Suboxone, Sublocade or Brixadi. Initial and random Urine Drug screening required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to determine individual treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and addiction counseling techniques.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions aimed at addressing substance use issues, co-occurring mental health disorders, and behavioral management.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention strategies to support patients experiencing acute distress or relapse episodes.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records utilizing ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10).
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate care within hospital or community settings, ensuring continuity of treatment.
  • Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to improve clinical outcomes and refine treatment methodologies.
  • Participate in case management activities to support patients’ recovery journey through community resources and home-based care when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CDCA) with specialized training in Substance Use Disorder treatment.
  • Proven experience in behavioral health settings, including hospital or community-based care environments.
  • Strong knowledge of addiction medicine, mental health counseling, PTSD care, and crisis management techniques.
  • Proficiency in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and group therapy facilitation.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), HIPAA compliance standards, and medical documentation practices.
  • Experience with intake procedures, case management, patient assessment tools, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage patients effectively while maintaining professional boundaries.
