Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Manage route driving schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and safety
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, especially for specialized freight like refrigerated or tanker loads
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and other required documentation in compliance with DOT regulations

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience operating commercial trucks with manual transmissions
• Familiarity with driving trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or similar equipment is preferred
• Experience in route driving and delivery operations within a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers
