Derenz Logistics, an agent-owned terminal for Packard Transport and the Evans Network of Companies, is hiring a full-time operations support employee for our Rensselaer, IN location.

This role is ideal for an experienced Class A CDL holder who wants to come off the road but stay in the trucking industry. The position is primarily office-based and includes dispatching, brokerage support, occasional local trailer shuttling, and some U-Haul customer service.

Job breakdown

• 80% dispatch / office support
• 10% trailer shuttle work
• 10% U-Haul customer service

Duties

• Assist with dispatch and daily operations
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and shippers
• Support brokerage and terminal functions
• Move empty and loaded flatbed trailers locally as needed
• Shuttle trailers between shipping points and our in-house mechanic shop
• Help where needed to keep the operation running smoothly

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Clean driving record
• Must participate in a drug and alcohol consortium
• Comfortable with phones, Outlook, email, and browser-based systems
• Dispatch experience helpful, but we will train the right person
• Must be able to move tarps and climb/walk on empty flatbed trailers

Schedule

• Full-time
• Minimum 40 hours per week
• Primarily weekdays
• Some weekends as needed
