Our drivers are responsible for the safe and on-time delivery of our products, ensuring our customers have the ingredients they need when they need them. This position is responsible for local and over-the-road deliveries to our customers using liquid tank trailers, bulk pneumatics, and van trailers. Drivers may be called upon to deliver any available load at any time. Drivers are therefore a part of a pool of drivers qualified under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle with a combined gross vehicle weight rating up to 110,000 pounds who can be called upon at any time to haul any available load.

Currently possess and maintain qualified status as an interstate driver under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Deliver products safely and on-time to the customer and using the assigned dispatch and customer requirements.

Providing outstanding customer service while distributing products for scheduled deliveries in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.

Follows all appropriate company safety rules and regulations, including but not limited to local, state, or federal agencies to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Specifically, complies with all DOT and OSHA regulations.

Follows all appropriate safety procedures while transporting, loading, and unloading products.

Follow all traffic rules, posted signs and requirements.
-
Immediately report damage and/or equipment defects, accidents, injuries, traffic violations, and complete all required documentation.

Utilize company technology to track on/off duty, sleeper berth and required rest/resets. (Utilize e-log to track hours of service.)

Keep up to date on new technology, processes and procedures implemented for Driver’s use at the company.

Complete all pre/post trip truck inspections; cooperate with DOT stops and inspections and report deficiencies accordingly.

Responsible for assisting in loading/unloading product and wash requirements as specified by the customer.

Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy tractor in good operating condition.

Report any mechanical problems to the appropriate dispatcher and/or maintenance personnel.

Keep Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and corresponding requirements up-to-date.
Required education and experience
-
Must be at a minimum of 21 years of age.

Must have a Valid Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement.

Must have a minimum of 1-year experience driving CDL A commercial motor vehicles.

Must be qualified under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations to operate a commercial motor vehicle with a combined vehicle weight rating up to 110,000 pounds.

Safety Requirements:

Must not have had an operator’s license suspended within the previous 3 years for unsafe operation or have a record that would indicate a disregard for public safety.

Must not have had any major preventable accidents.
-
No more than 1 moving violation in the preceding 3 years
-
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.

Willingness and ability to work a variety of days and hours.
Work environment and physical demands

Ability to lift fifty pounds routinely.

Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to bend, stretch, and twist.

Ability to reach, push, pull, grasp.

Ability to climb, use a ladder and work in heights.

Visual and hearing acuity, in accordance with federal regulations which mandate that truck drivers have to hear a forced whisper at 5 feet, have at least 20/40 vision, a 70-degree field of vision and the ability to distinguish the colors of traffic lights.

May be exposed to outside conditions including, hot, cold, and humid weather.

May be exposed to fuel vapors and sudden temperature changes.

Maybe exposed to petroleum based products (motor oil, hydraulic oil, diesel fuel etc.). May be exposed to chemicals (anti-freeze, WD-40).
