CDL-A Driver – FedEx Linehaul | Night Dispatch | Home Daily

We are hiring a part-time CDL-A driver for FedEx Ground linehaul runs. Evening dispatch. Home every morning.

This part time position would position would operate the same route 4-5 days a week, with the opportunity to add additional routes when other drivers are taking PTO or as a full-time position becomes available.

We also continuously accept applications from qualified CDL-A drivers for FedEx Ground linehaul runs for full-time positions.

This is not a delivery or over-the-road driver job. You pull trailers between terminals. Your trailer is already loaded when you arrive. Drop it. Hook your return. Drive home. That's it.

Choose the schedule that works for you:

• Full-time: ~$90,000+ per year (5–6 days/week)
• Full-time: ~$66,000/year (5 days/week)
• Part-time: ~$55,000/year (3–4 days/week)
• Part-time: $28/hour — shorter daily runs with the chance to earn more by filling in for other drivers (can guarantee at least 27.5 hours/week).

Your truck: You operate a dedicated Freightliner Cascadia—one driver, one truck. Automatic transmission. Well-maintained.

What a typical night looks like:

• Arrive at yard
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspection on your dedicated truck
• Pick up a pre-loaded trailer—no touch freight
• Dispatch between 6-9pm, depending on assigned route
• Drop and hook at destination
• Return run—home before morning
• Same route, same truck, same schedule

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• HazMat and doubles endorsement (or willing to obtain during training)
• 6 months of driving experience in the last year, 1 year driving experience in past 3 years, OR 5 years in past 10
• Clean driving record — no DUI, reckless driving, or suspended license in past 3 years
• Must be 21+ and pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
• Comfortable with night dispatch (6–9 PM start)
