CDL-A Intermodal Truck Driver - Local / Regional (Charleston, SC)

Are you a professional CDL-A driver who takes pride in your work and wants to be treated like a partner, not just a truck number? We are looking for a reliable, experienced Class A CDL Driver to operate tractor-trailer equipment hauling intermodal freight.

This is a high-volume, consistent lane position. You’ll be a vital link in our logistics chain, moving freight efficiently across intermodal hubs with a focus on safety, reliability, and excellent earning potential.

Responsibilities

  • Safe Operations: Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Route Management: Manage driving routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing vehicle performance.
  • Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (ELD), cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively regarding pickups, deliveries, and any necessary route adjustments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience involving tractor-trailers.
  • License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) and current DOT Medical Card.
  • Credentials: Must have or be willing to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Port Knowledge: Familiarity with Charleston ports is a major plus.
  • Skills: Knowledge of route planning within intermodal transportation networks, strong backing skills, and a safety-first mindset.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $4,000.00 per week

Work Location: On the road
