Join our dynamic team as a CDL-A Local Driver, working Sunday through Thursday to deliver essential freight efficiently and safely within your local area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be home every night while maintaining a lively, fast-paced driving schedule. As a key player in our logistics operation, you'll operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service. Your expertise in commercial driving will help keep operations running smoothly and customers satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts throughout each shift
• Follow planned routes efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules to meet deadlines
• Assist with securing loads on trailers to prevent shifting during transit
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record and at least five years of commercial driving experience
• Proven experience operating tractor-trailers
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving, load securement, and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with route driving within local areas and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions
• Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation accuracy, and freight handling
• Physical ability to perform the demands of truck driving including lifting heavy loads when necessary

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
