CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Home Daily

Pay: $1,580 – $1,820 per week (average)

Job Summary

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position hauling containers to and from rail yards. This role offers daily home time and consistent freight within a local operating area.

Responsibilities

• Transport intermodal containers between rail yards, warehouses, and distribution centers
• Perform pickups and deliveries in a safe and timely manner
• Operate equipment in rail yards and industrial areas
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies

Pay & Compensation

• Average weekly pay: $1,580 – $1,820
• Additional stop pay: $40 per stop
• Safety bonus opportunities
• Paid orientation

Pay is based on experience, routes, and workload and is not guaranteed.

Schedule

• Home daily
• Tuesday through Sunday
• Start times may vary between 4:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Shifts typically range from 11–13 hours

Freight Information

• Intermodal container freight
• No-touch freight
• Combination of drop and hook and live load/unload
• Multiple local runs per shift

Equipment

• Automatic trucks
• Equipment is assigned and maintained by the company
• Trucks remain at the terminal during time off

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience (subject to review)
• Must meet all applicable DOT requirements
• Ability to operate in rail yard environments
• Reliable and able to meet scheduling requirements

This is a local driving position. Drivers are expected to work scheduled shifts and comply with all safety and operational requirements.
