CDL-A OTR Driver

Overview

Alberty Trucking is a small family business, hiring a full-time CDL-A over-the-road driver out of Dandridge, TN. You'll run a mix of company and brokered freight on multi-day routes, paid by the hour. Most runs keep you out 4–5 days, home most weekends.

What you'll do

- Operate a Class 8 tractor-trailer (van and tank trailers, including manual

transmission) on multi-day OTR routes.

- Haul a mix of company and brokered freight — mostly standard loads, with

occasional hazmat or tank loads.

- Load, secure, and unload freight as required.

- Complete DOT pre-trip / post-trip inspections and keep the truck safe and

compliant.

- Follow assigned routes and all DOT, traffic, safety, and company policies;

maintain accurate ELD/HOS logs.

- Keep delivery paperwork accurate and turned in on time, and stay in contact

with dispatch.

What you'll need

- Valid CDL-A with no restrictions — must be able to operate

manual-transmission and full air-brake combination vehicles.

- X endorsement (combined Hazmat + Tank) — required.

- Clean driving record / MVR.

- Current DOT medical card; able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.

- 2 + years verifiable tractor-trailer experience.

- At least 23 years old

Pay & schedule

- $31.00/hour — paid hourly for all time on duty

- Per diem on overnight trips

- Monthly bonus potential

- Out 4–5 days, home most weekends
