CDL A Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer service.

Duties

• Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in accordance with company policies
• Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition
• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation tasks
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues

Skills

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred
• Knowledge of freight handling and securement techniques
• Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting skills is a plus
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules under varying conditions
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
