CDL A Truck Driver

Bass Environmental is seeking a qualified CDL A Driver with Tanker and HazMat endorsements to safely transport hazardous and non‑hazardous materials in support of environmental remediation, industrial cleaning, and waste management operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, safety, and efficiency on job sites and during transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A vehicles including tanker trucks, vacuum trucks, and roll‑off equipment
• Transport hazardous and non‑hazardous materials in compliance with DOT, EPA, and state regulations
• Load and unload liquid and solid materials, including assisting with pumping operations as required
• Complete accurate driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) and maintain logs (ELD or paper)
• Ensure proper placarding, manifests, and shipping documentation are completed and maintained
• Follow all company safety policies, permit requirements, and customer site rules
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and field crews
• Perform basic vehicle upkeep and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns
• Represent Bass Environmental professionally with clients, regulators, and the public

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license and 3 years CDL A driving experience
• Tanker (N) required and HazMat (H) endorsements or X endorsements
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Clean driving record in accordance with company and insurance standards
• Ability to pass DOT drug & alcohol screening, background check, and HazMat requirements
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe hauling practices
• Ability to work extended hours and rotating Saturday (1/2 shift) schedules as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in environmental services, waste hauling, vacuum truck, or industrial cleaning
• Familiarity with hazardous waste manifests and emergency response procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and work around industrial equipment
