CDL Class A Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting construction material safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism in handling various types of freight.

We are seasonal employment. The season slows down in November.

Duties

• Operate various types of trucks including dump trucks, side dumps and belly dumps.
• Ensure the adequate arrival for expected load times.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and material delivered.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
• Handle manual transmission vehicles with proficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated (e.g., tanker).
• Proven experience driving various truck types including flatbed, side dump, belly dump, and dump trucks is preferred.
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations related to trucking.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet on time expectations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading and cleaning out of dump beds.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean driving record.
• ability to use multiple apps via smartphone for work purposes
