Wage: $28 to $30 DOE (additional certifications will increase wage)

The position of the Mover/Driver is to responsibly task the crew to pack/unpack and load/unload household goods into proper containers/crates, while complying with company/military standards. This position requires the completion of DOD paperwork, commercial paperwork, and transportation of the items. This is a leadership role and focuses on growth, teamwork, and the ability to mentor others.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Check in with the operations manager daily
• Perform daily driver’s vehicle inspection/maintenance
• Make sure material is loaded on truck before leaving to job site
• Go over the mechanics of the move with team before starting the job
• Make sure expense reports are filled out accurately with appropriate documentation
• Assists in solving problems and addressing customer needs
• Prepare, stack, and pile goods for transport/shipment of household goods
• Pack/unpack shipments (Military, National Accounts, COD, GSA) according to company regulations
• Make sure containers/crates are prepared, marked, and damage free
• Track inventory, provide accurate/detailed documentation, and maintain driver logs
• Load/unload household items and secure with security seals
• Measure and weigh items according to regulation
• Maintain/organize trucks and supplies
• Maintain customer relationships

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Must engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of household items
• Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, driver’s license, effective communication skills, friendly and outgoing personality, organizational skills, and ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently.
• Communicate politely and positively with all Customers via phone, face to face, or email correspondence.
• Maintain production pace and utilize equipment used to perform duties
• Must be able to read a map, understand DOT regulations, and have a valid medical card
• Qualified applicants must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Required to wear company uniform
