Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks with manual automatic transmissions flatbeds for local deliveries
• Drive route-specific deliveries to various customer sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight efficiently using overhead cranes or manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and proper placement
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records for compliance and reporting purposes
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered on the road
• Assist in warehouse duties such as inventory management, stock organization, and supporting team members with freight handling when not driving

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A or Class B license
• Prior delivery driver experience working with freight including flatbeds or specialized trucks is highly desirable
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures using overhead crane or manual methods in a warehouse setting
• Knowledge of route driving best practices with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures including load securement and cargo safety standards
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
