Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security to maintain optimal safety standards.
• Manage route driving efficiently while maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and mileage in compliance with federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered on the road.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company on every delivery.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license; familiarity with manual transmission trucks preferred.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload operations for various cargo types such as refrigerated goods or flatbed loads.
• Experience operating specialized equipment like forklifts or dump trucks is a plus.
• Ability to drive tractor-trailers safely over long distances while managing time effectively on regional routes.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to tanker operations and roll-off trucks to ensure compliance at all times.
• Excellent route planning skills with an emphasis on efficiency and punctuality.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and handling documentation accurately. Pay: $2,300.00 - $2,500.00 per week
