PART TIME DRIVER / SALES ROOM ASSOCIATE

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage time effectively while ensuring timely deliveries. We offer competitive pay, for a local route, home every night. This is a part time position driving a gas truck route a couple days a week and helping out in the sales room as needed. Responsibilities

• Operate lift gate truck.
• Execute route driving efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of freight to various locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
• Manage loading and unloading of cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling of freight.
• Drive manual transmission vehicles as required by specific routes or loads.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Familiarity with route driving and logistics operations is preferred.
• Experience operating lift gate truck is a plus.
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
