The CDL Driver reports directly to the Transportation Manager and is part of the Field
Operations Team.


The role of the CDL Driver is to fulfill the needs of heavy transportation related to both
our OTR customers as well as any heavy transportation needs originating from our E.R.
services and work and as instructed by our company Kingdom Purpose, “to care for it and

The CDL Driver is to support all work related to heavy trucking and transporting, while
learning about all aspects of the work of Lone Star Hazmat Response, LLC. Specific tasks
for the CDL Driver are as follows:


  • Must be willing and able to perform extended interstate Over-The-Road (OTR)
driving, including multi-day trips across state lines with limited home time.
  • Safely transport hazardous materials in compliance with all regulations, ensuring secure
loading, unloading, and proper documentation during the delivery process.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle, ensuring that it is in proper working
condition, also adhering to company policy and procedure regarding maintenance and
cleanliness.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips and deliveries, including electronic logbooks, bills of
lading, and any other required documentation.
  • Perform emergency response activities including, but not limited to chemical, fuel,
and water spills, environmental and biological contamination, and facility or
equipment decontamination.
  • Wear and properly use a variety of Levels A, B, C, or D personal protective
equipment (PPE). This includes respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot
protection in multiple combinations.
  • Works in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions:
including extreme heat and cold while wearing various levels of PPE.
  • Assist in field sampling activities.
  • Works in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various
chemicals, physical agents, or traffic, some of which may be hazardous, toxic, or
corrosive.
  • Can work extended hours (>8 Hrs.) time periods, and if willing to work on-call 24
hours/ day, 7 days/week including weekend ends and holidays when scheduled to be on
call.
  • Work closely with Transportation Manager to create and manage efficient driving
schedules, optimizing skill level of driver and/or technician depending on job or route at
hand
High School Diploma or equivalent as allowed by management.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to the transportation of
hazardous materials
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Hazmat truck driver
  • Valid CDL driver’s license that passes approval by current company insurance
provider. Excellent driving record with no history of major violations or accidents.
  • Able to take and comply with directions and perform multiple tasks as requested
by supervisor(s).
  • Must be able to pass Hazwoper physical.
