Job Summary
The CDL Driver is responsible for supporting all transportation, receiving, inspection, and logistics activities related to commercial vehicles at the Georgetown facility. This position ensures incoming trucks are properly received, inspected, documented, weighed, moved, and transported both on-site and off-site while maintaining compliance with safety regulations, company procedures, and applicable transportation laws.
Key Responsibilities- Perform incoming truck inspections to verify vehicle condition, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation related to truck receipts, inspections, transportation, and inventory records.
- Execute the truck receiving process, including verification of shipments, recording vehicle information, and coordinating with internal departments.
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Drive trucks to designated weighing stations and accurately document weight records.
- Move trucks throughout the facility and between company locations as required.
- Transport trucks to and from third-party service providers, vendors, customers, and other designated locations.
- Coordinate transportation schedules to support operational requirements and customer commitments.
- Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Ensure all required permits, registrations, inspection reports, and transportation records are maintained and current.
- Assist with yard organization and inventory management of trucks and equipment.
- Support loading, unloading, and staging activities as needed.
- Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with operations, service, logistics, and management teams regarding vehicle status and transportation schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to meet all DOT requirements, including medical certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation safety requirements, and vehicle inspection procedures.
- Ability to complete detailed documentation accurately and timely.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and mobile technology used for inspections and recordkeeping.
Preferred- Experience transporting heavy equipment, construction equipment, or commercial vehicles.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, equipment distribution, or logistics environment.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle receiving, inventory control, and logistics processes.
